About the course
This course will cover the step-by-step process in diagnosing TMD, highlighting its implications in multidisciplinary treatment. You will learn to identify the possible causal factors of orofacial pain, both muscular and joint-related, and understand the essential role of orthodontics in the interdisciplinary treatment of these conditions.

About the course
We will present the treatment options proposed by the Ertty Systems for patients with Class II and III malocclusions, both in mixed dentition and in young adults. We will discuss the key factors to consider during the diagnosis to choose the best treatment approach, taking into account the patient’s skeletal maturity and the severity of the malocclusion (dental or dento-skeletal). After the theoretical foundation, students will have the opportunity to learn how to fabricate the main mechanical components on special mannequins during our practical sessions.

Modular Course in Mexico
The course consists of 7 modules, taught every two months, where students learn about the Ertty Systems, from 3D craniofacial diagnosis to advanced mechanics with mini-plates. It focuses on the diagnostic protocol and condylar evaluation using CBCT and magnetic resonance imaging, which is essential for long-term stable treatments. Temporomandibular dysfunctions and Dr. Ertty’s unconventional Orthosurgical Preparation protocol, which minimizes extractions and invasive surgeries, are also studied. Starting from the second module, students present cases in clinical seminars to apply what they have learned under the direct supervision of Dr. Ertty and his team.
First Class in Mexico
The first class of the Ertty Modular Systems Course in Mexico is already underway in 2025, made up of professionals from various parts of the world. There are not only Mexicans, but also participants from more than 6 different nationalities, with almost 50 students every two months.
This group has the opportunity to benefit from both the theoretical content and practical guidance, which are essential for the complete development of their clinical cases. In a dynamic and interactive learning environment, students receive direct support from the professors to apply the Ertty System concepts in their daily practice, promoting deep and effective learning.

He was also the executive coordinator of the Master's program "Sistemas Ertty" at São Leopoldo Mandic University in Campinas / SP. Currently, he is the coordinator of the modular courses of Sistemas Ertty in Portugal, Spain, and Brasília. Author of the book "Sistemas Ertty - Orthodontics | TMD | Occlusion".n
Dra. Irene Méndez-Manjón
PhD in Dentistry with special mention of Excellent Cum Laude from the International University of Catalonia (UIC), Barcelona (Spain). International Master's in Surgery, Master's in Clinical Research and Biomaterials in Dentistry from UIC. Clinical residency in Oral Implantology at UIC Barcelona. Extraordinary End-of-Degree Award (Dentistry) from the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. She has been a professor of the "International Master's in Oral Surgery" and Medical-Surgical Pathology at UIC Barcelona. She teaches the Modular Course of Sistemas Ertty.
